Hi there, I’m Tracy! I’m a food-loving, mom of two with a passion for nutrition and fitness. I love to laugh, I drink too much coffee and I’m a true nerd at heart. I sing way too loud when I’m alone in my car and I looooove to dance. Oh, I was a cheerleader for a year in middle school and tried my hand at basketball…. I only scored one point the entire season… yep… one single free throw. I was better at softball but slid into a chick on second base and broke my ankle. Fun times! Now I enjoy CrossFit and staying active, especially outside and recently went on my first hike and backpacking trip! My favorite thing in the world is spending sweet time with my kiddos, family and friends. Now enough about me! If you’re still awake after reading that then bless your heart.

In college I worked a lot, studied some, and ate like crap, with little drive to exercise. Not too long after losing a friend who was like a sister to me growing up, I found myself in the midst of dealing with an autoimmune condition and curious how to address the CAUSE of the issue rather than just treating the symptoms. I’ve always been a figure-it-out yourself kinda gal so I researched the heck out of it. Much less was known then but what I did find all made sense. Ah yes… stress, poor diet, genetics… check, check, and check. I changed the way I ate, minimized processed foods and gluten. My issue improved over time and now is practically non-existent. Fast forward and two kids later… Over the last decade, I’ve experimented with many eating styles- from eating for aesthetics and body composition, to eating for athletic performance, from eating only “raw” foods for health, to paleo zone and counting macros. I’ve learned so much through personal experience and independent research over the years and recently decided to become a Certified Nutrition Coach to educate and empower others to take control of their relationship with food and meet their goals.

I received my certification in Nutrition Coaching from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology (concentration Anatomy & Physiology) and also enjoyed many classes in Psychology (Childhood Development, Abnormal Psychology, Psychology of Sexual Behavior). Over the course of my professional career, I’ve spent time as a Microbiologist, Chemist, Project & Program Manager, and in Corporate Business Development.
